Cross-Country Skiing Highlights in the Pillerseetal

Our hotel is located right on the trail – perfect for early risers who want to be the first to hit the freshly groomed tracks each morning. As a special bonus, the cross-country ski pass is included with every booking, so you can fully enjoy the Nordic paradise that is the PillerseeTal!

Known as a cross-country skiing hotspot, the PillerseeTal offers over 100 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails for both classic and skating styles. The region includes five charming villages: Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, St. Ulrich am Pillersee, and Waidring. Especially Hochfilzen, situated at 1,000 metres above sea level, is famous as a biathlon centre and has hosted the Biathlon World Championships multiple times. (Fun fact: We’ve been the official team hotel of the German Biathlon Team for over 15 years!) All trails in the PillerseeTal carry the Tyrolean Trail Seal of Quality and offer options for every skill level. A true highlight is the “Dominik Landertinger Trail” in Hochfilzen, named after the local world champion. For night owls, illuminated trails provide a magical experience under the stars. Plus, as the snowiest region in Tyrol, the PillerseeTal guarantees top conditions throughout the entire winter season.
