It’s no coincidence that this area is considered the snowiest region in all of Tyrol! In winter, the surroundings of our Hotel Unterlechner transform into a true winter wonderland. Ever dreamed of jumping from your balcony into 2.5 meters of powdery snow? No problem – we’ll show you how!

But summer in our home region has just as much to offer: countless hiking trails, breathtaking mountain views, refreshing streams, and blooming alpine meadows. How about a picnic on an alpine pasture, a bike ride to the emerald-green Pillersee, or maybe a trip into the local art and culture scene? Let the many events and offers inspire you. By the way: Our hotel is open 333 days a year, so you can enjoy all kinds of activities during spring and autumn as well! These seasons offer plenty of opportunities to explore the region and experience the beauty of nature to the fullest.

Is there Wi-Fi at the hotel?

Yes, we offer Wi-Fi throughout the property. Please note that in our Basic Rooms, the connection may be limited due to the thick stone walls.

Are there good hiking opportunities nearby?

Absolutely! Our local mountain, the Buchensteinwand – including the scenic hike to the Jakobskreuz – is right on our doorstep. There are also countless other hiking options in the area. Just ask at reception for more information.

Where are the nearest ski areas?

The closest ski area is the Buchensteinwand with three slopes. The larger ski region Fieberbrunn/Saalbach/Hinterglemm/Leogang is just a 5-minute drive away.

Where is the nearest cross-country skiing access point?

Only 100 meters from the hotel you’ll find access to various cross-country skiing trails.

Where can I rent a bike?

Bikes can be rented at Intersport Günther in St. Jakob. We offer vouchers for standard mountain bikes at our reception, and discounts for e-bike rentals.

Where can I charge my electric car?

We have two external charging stations installed in our carport.

Can I eat on the terrace?

Yes, gladly from April to October – weather permitting.
