Holidays and quality of life!
There is a time to work and a time to renew your strength!
We are thinking about holiday destinations that can help us relax, recover or simply take a break from our daily chores!
The adverts all tell us about fantastic offers that – for an exorbitant sum – can improve our quality of life, whether in the mountains, at the seaside or in wellness centres.
It is simply not possible to achieve decent quality holiday standards at a price where calling out the plumber will cost you more than 3-4 days’ holiday in a 4-star hotel…. Something has to give…. The theory is “saving whatever the cost”… particularly in the case of exploited staff (21st century slavery)… at all events regarding the quality of the food… 90% finished products… with all-inclusive drinks… bottles get refilled etc.… no room for quality of…. wine… meals… table settings… glasses, not to mention any notion of service culture!
Fetching everything yourself… fighting for a clean table…. the daily madness… buffet buffet buffet, the battle at the lukewarm buffet…. always for the same thing… just a bit differently decorated and dyed with food colouring…. I know it sounds hard, but that is the hideous truth that lies behind cheap tourism!
Where can anyone in these circumstances find the time to achieve the feeling of true relaxation and recovery that we now need more than ever!
We would all like to have enough time to relax and simply promise you a real holiday offering true quality of life!
