A family business:
There is no real hotel manager at Hotel Unterlechner. This job, like many others, is carried out by “heads of the house” Sabine and Andreas. Because Hotel Unterlechner is one of the last family-run 4-star hotels in Pillerseetal. There’s not much more to say about this; see the difference for yourself.

Rooms – where I lay my head is home:
All our rooms are equipped with furniture made of solid Tyrolean timber, created especially for you by local craftsmen! The building materials are selected from organic sources and all mattresses are filled with unprocessed wool from sheep that spend the summer months grazing on Alpine pastures. So even allergy sufferers will be on cloud 9.

Energy from our forests
While you splash about in the indoor swimming pool, don’t worry what the energy supply of tomorrow will look like. We put our thoughts into actions long ago where this is concerned and have invested in the latest energy standards. The wood we use for heating is growing back every day in our forests and the sun is also a contributing resource enabling us to achieve a heat recovery value of 85%. We live in an area of outstanding natural beauty and have learnt to appreciate everything it has to offer.

Cuisine – we take time to cook:
Cooking is a time-consuming matter which is why convenience foods have been finding their way into gastronomy for some time now. Not at Unterlechner!
We still cook from scratch! With meat from our farm, dairy produce directly from the farmer and fruit and vegetables from the local area! Cooking styles can be as different as chalk and cheese. A buffet every day means warmed-up and lacking in vitamins!

Drinks: specialities for connoisseurs
We have only the finest specialities on our little wine list! The beer comes from Huber Bräu, a small private brewery in the Kitzbühel Alps region, the wines are produced by the best wine growers in Austria and South Tyrol and the spirits taste nothing like paint stripper! From the buffet breakfast to a sociable evening at the bar, Unterlechner lets you into a little secret: exceptional quality need not be expensive!

Glass & tableware: it tastes better with style
Villery & Boch porcelain, hand-blown Riedel glasses – we are convinced that food and drink taste far better when served with sophistication! Perhaps we are a little old fashioned, but in our hotel, we believe in quality with style and class.

The staff: service without ifs and buts
Whether chamber maid, waiter, breakfast attendant, concierge, masseur, hiking guide, cook, dish washer, water technician, administrator, laundry lady, gardener or sommelier – a fundamental principle counts for all: the customer is king and he shall have the best possible time in the Tyrolean mountains. Service is our business and that’s what we are specialized in. We’ll leave the enjoyment up to you.

Wellness & pool: experts at work
Our masseur works exclusively in the wellness area; not mowing the lawns at the same time! In the spa & beauty area you will find only the most highly trained professionals. Tyrol’s precious spring water is sacred to us and the quality in the indoor swimming pool is tested daily by our water technician. This is already regulation but in no way taken for granted, simply take the water test yourself.....
Wellness is not a buzzword for us – at Hotel Unterlechner we’ve been living Tyrolean mountain wellness for many years.
